An upscale bedroom community, Powell contains mostly upscale and luxury neighborhoods, including The Retreat, The Chase, Loch Lomond, Chambers Glen, Ashmoore, Canterbury Estates, Golf Village, The Lakes of Silverleaf, Woods on Seldom Seen, and Sherbourne Mews. Powell has a variety of restaurants, shops, and supermarkets but due to the wishes of its residents, it does not host any major industrial, financial, or technological businesses to keep the small-town historic charm its residents love. Residents of Powell are a stone’s throw away from the world-renowned Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and Zoombezi Bay. Residents also enjoy the Powell Festival the last weekend in June.
